, I think you are right about the origin of the Polish breed.  It may have come from more than one place.  As you know, the bearded and non-bearded are recognized as two different breeds in some countries.  Truth be known, it is likely that the Polish that we have now days may be a made breed, and no a descendent of the original "polled fowl."  That is true of the Sultan Bantams today.
