I DIDN'T WANT TO COME ACROSS AS A KNOW IT ALL, MOSTLY JUST TRYING TO HELP SOME OF THE NEWER MEMBERS THAT MIGHT HAVE EGG LAYING PROBLEMS. THE CAVE COMMENT WAS MEANT TO SAY YOU MIGHT NOT BE GIVING THEM ENOUGH LIGHT. I KNOW IT'S DARK ON ONE END OF MY BARN YEAR ROUND.  STILL  SOME OLDER BREEDERS SOMETIMES DON'T REALIZE HOW LONG IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN SINCE WE HAVE INTRODUCED NEW BLOOD INTO SOME OF OUR LINES, ME INCLUDED. YOUR BANTAM WHITES ARE AN EXAMPLE. IT MIGHT BE TIME FOR AN OUTCROSS. I CROSSED THE MALE BIRD
BROUGHT ME BACK FROM YOU 2 YEARS AGO FROM OHIO OVER THE FEMALES I ACQUIRED FROM
AND THE SECOND YEAR IT SEEMS TO HAVE CLICKED. EGG LAYING AND FERTILITY HAS BEEN GREAT, AND THE BIRDS SHOW REAL PROMISE. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF OUTCROSS , I'VE HAD PROBLEMS FOR SEVERAL YEARS GETTING FERTILITY AND LIVABILITY OUT OF MY BUFF LACED ORIGINALLY ACQUIRED FROM
OVER 20 YEARS AGO. COULD ONLY GET 8-10 BIRDS A YEAR . THIS YEAR
SENT ME A UNRELATED MALE BIRD TO BREED (FRIZZLE). FERTILITY HAS BEEN GREAT AND VITALITY EXCELLENT. I'M HAVING TO CUT IT OFF AT 100. THERE COULD BE A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH SIZE ON AN OUTCROSS BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET. THE KEY ON OUTCROSSES IS TO ACQUIRE BREEDERS FROM TOP UNRELATED BLOODLINES AND SOMETIMES THAT HARD ESPECIALLY IN THE RARER VARIETIES (LIKE TOLBUNT RIGHT
AND SOMETIMES IN THE POPULAR VARIETIES IF BREEDERS ARE NOT WILLING TO SHARE. I'M GLAD YOU WERE ABLE TO GET HELP FROM ANOTHER BREEDER AND CONGRATULAIONS ON YOUR NEW HOUSE. HAPPY HATCHING
