, I’m certain you got my point that none of us are pure bred nor perfect - the culture that aimed for that was defeated in WWII. Which is why I do not think that principle should be applied to the other animals we share this earth with. While sharing certainly makes our lives more challenging, on the whole bringing more elements in to the mix appears to what makes our country so terrific....in the leadership role.

 The only Paduan hens I was able to find within driving distance during the three months I searched were the gold laced. NY State law prohibits hens being shipped in apparently - a search I underwent in order that Shinnecock would accept the hens. And I was assured from my reading et al that the hens would not set...but one did.

That the chicks are mixed breed is not a reason for me not to enjoy them or let them live. As that is not how I treat people either and do not see reason to treat one species different from another.

More importantly to me is that they can see - that their crests do not block their view. That they fly as they were born to.....and live as independently as possible...just as I wish for and wish others.

Hope
